Chocolate Cherry Jam

6 cups sweet cherries, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup reconstituted lemon juice
6 cups sugar
2/3 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
1 box Sure Jell
1/4 cup rum

Pit and chop cherries, add the pot with lemon juice and sugar.  Bring to full rolling boil.  Sprinkle cocoa into mixture, stirring to prevent lumps.  Return to full rolling boil.  Add Sure Jell and boil 1 minute.  Add rum.  Bottle in half pint jars.  Makes 9 cups of jam.
