Easy huevos rancheros casserole

1 32 Oz package of tater tots or hash browns
12 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 can green chilis, chopped
1 8 Oz package Mexican blend shredded cheese

Heat oven to 375 degrees.   Bake tater tots or hash browns till half cooked, either in a skillet or in oven.  You can add chopped onion if desired.  Place hash browns in a greased 3 qt dish. Low wide dishes seem to work best such as a 9 by 13 inch dish.   Mix eggs, milk and spices,  add green chilis.   Pour over hash browns.  Bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Top with salsa, sour cream and chopped cilantro.
