Peanut brittle

1/2 c butter
1/2 c sugar
1 cup nuts (pecans, peanuts)
1 T white corn syrup

Line a 9 inch cake pan with foil and butter thoroughly. Bring ingredients to boil in 10 inch skillet. Stir constantly, boil until mixture turns golden brown, and reaches the hard crack stage. Pour candy into prepared pan, cool, then peel off foil. Break into pieces.

  1. Hard Crack stage is 300 to 310 degrees. I spread the mixture on parchment paper to cool to prevent sticking
