Snickerdoodles
1 c shortening
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and then dry ingredients. Roll dough in balls and then roll in 2 T sugar mixed with 2 tsp cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
